Pilco in Zurich

July 6-10, 2026

This summer, Pilco Explorers will be hosted in Zurich - a global hub of science, research, and innovation.

From creative coding workshops to hiking in Swiss nature, children will step into academic and creative environments, building confidence as they explore new ideas, meet experts, and imagine their own future within these spaces.

Highlights

  • Explore Zurich's Old Town: Step into Zurich's medieval past with an exploration of the historic city center.

  • Experience Learning at ETH Zurich: Learn from students and scientists at the Department of Earth and Planetary Science with hands-on workshops.

  • Robotics & Coding Workshop: Explore computer science and robotics through playful programming challenges. Children will learn about sensors and real-world assistive technology while gaining insight into the work of Swiss start-ups.

  • Visit Swiss Science Centre: Immerse in Europe's premier hands-on science museum, where hundreds of interactive exhibits bring physics and natural phenomena to life.

CURIOSITY

This immersive and hands-on program is designed to help children feel comfortable, confident, and curious in academic spaces. We want our children to know that academic excellence is not just for ‘smart people’, but anyone willing to ask questions and think deeply.

CREATIVITY

Working with partners that cares as deeply as we do about meaningful learning, children will have the opportunity to design, create and share their ideas with real-world entreprenures and scientists.

PERSPECTIVE

Four languages, one nation. In Switzerland, children gain a genuinely global perspective, learning to navigate the beautifully complex world around them.
